Yungblud turned heads and paid respect to the late rocker and mentor Ozzy Osbourne with his latest red carpet look on Sunday for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.

The singer-songwriter, born Dominic Richard Harrison, walked the carpet at the UBS Arena in a full black leather Chrome Hearts ensemble, complete with his signature low-rise leather pants paired with a fur-trimmed leather coat designed by his girlfriend Jesse Jo Stark.

According to Yungblud, the risque ultra low-rise pants had once belonged to legendary artist Iggy Pop. “I’ve actually got Iggy Pop’s leather pants on,”Yungblud told Nylon. “Richard [Stark] from Chrome Hearts said if you can fit in them, you can wear them.” Yungblud paired the pants with a matching black leather belt with a dramatic silver buckle, as well as various pieces of silver jewelry and black combat-style boots.

The cherry on top of an already iconic outfit was the addition of a gold cross gifted to Yungblud by Osbourne back in 2022 during filming for his music video “The Funeral.”

The meaning behind the cross doesn’t end there. The necklace was designed for Osbourne back in 1991 by Chrome Hearts founder and current owner Richard Stark, the father of Yungblud’s girlfriend Jesse Jo Stark. “It was a full circle moment that it came back to me,” said Yungblud in an interview with Kerrang Radio.

“He’s here with me,” Yungblud told E! News on the red carpet at the UBS Arena. “I’ve got his cross on, Ozzy forever, man.”

Yungblud continued to honor the legacy of the late Ozzy Osbourne with his tribute performance during the live broadcast, singing “Crazy Train” and “Changes” alongside Nuno Bettencourt, before joining Steven Tyler and Joe Perry for “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”

The passing of the legendary performer back in July hit the rock community hard. Yungblud, who’d formed a close friendship with the late singer, posted a heartfelt tribute to Instagram, writing, “You have been my North Star for everything for as long as I can remember. I promise you with all my heart, I will try my best and make it my life’s journey to keep the spirit that you started and what you have taught me alive. I will give it my best shot.”
